Web 2.0 is a web application that facilitates participatory information sharing, interoperability, user centered design and collaboration on the World Wide Web. It allos users to interact and collaborate with each other as well.

The term Web 2.0 was at first used in 1999, however was properly used only by 2002. Web 2.0 is said to simply be a more updated term of use for WWW.
